Reaching out to the public

At East Riding Astronomers we are keen to reach out and talk to members of the public about astronomy in general and what it means to be an amatuer astronomer in particular.

Over the last few years we have seized on opportunities to reach out by means of public events, radio interviews and even a four month long exhibition at the Treasure House in Beverley.

In addition to these public events, we have our monthly club meetings at Woodmansey Village Hall, and members of the public are welcome to drop in to see who we are and to find out more about astronomy.

Our meetings are usually the first Monday of the month and they start around 7pm, finishing around 9pm unless its a clear night and we can observe.

Why not come along to a meeting? Our guest fee for attending a full meeting is £3, you may also want to bring 50p for refreshments and £1 for the raffle?
