Local Events and Activities

Apart from our meetings each month, the Club is involved in supporting local groups, collaborating in public events, organising field trips and each summer we hold a market stall.

SUMMER OF ASTRONOMY

In 2026 we will have another summer of events, probably including solar observing.

Support for groups

If you are a local group (scouts, round table, schools etc) and you would like us to help with star gazing opportunities then please contact us.

Exhibitions

We have worked with the East Riding Library Service and Beverley Guildhall to put on astronomy exhibitions at the Treasure House and the Guildhall.

Our 2022 Treasure House exhibition was a huge success, as was the Guildhall’s exhibition on astronomy.

Market stalls

We hold a market stall each year in Beverley’s Saturday Market, usually July or August.

The annual Saturday Market event in Beverley is an opportunity for us to meet members of the public.

See list of past events and activities here – Events and Activities List

The Village Hall is an ideal venue to host your group.  In 2024 we were happy to welcome our local Round Table to the Hall for a few hours of star gazing.  The parade of planets was in full view.

All are welcome at the Village Hall
