Beverley Market Stalls
Once a year we rent a stall in Beverley Market as an opportunity to meet members of the public and talk about stargazing and astronomy. Often we meet fellow enthusiasts and occasionally even professional astronomers.
Our next Beverley market stall will be Saturday 26th July from 9a.m. until 4p.m.
Setting up for the Market starts after 8 a.m. so we are ready when the market “officially” opens at 9 a.m.
Club members take turns to staff the stall until the market closes at 4p.m.
We like to have a few telescopes on show, perhaps with the solarscope available for viewing the sun. Out of our four years of attending the market the weather has been kind on three of them.
We don’t have anything to sell although we do usually give away old copies of astronomy magazines.
Our 2022 stall was cloudy, but 2023 and 2024 were bright and sunny.
