Beverley Market Stalls
Once a year we rent a stall in Beverley Market as an opportunity to meet members of the public and talk about stargazing and astronomy. Often we meet fellow enthusiasts and occasionally even professional astronomers.
Our Beverley market stall on the 26th July was a great success.
Setting up for the Market started just before 8 a.m. so we were ready when the market opened at 9 a.m.
The stall was well staffed by members, and during the day well visited.
The weather was kind so far as no rain or wind, but it was too cloudy to catch any glimpses of the sun through our various solar scopes.
Lorraine and others did sterling service in giving away our back catalogue of magazines.
Several visitors expressed a keen interest in visitor the Club soon and at least one person took advantage of the discount and joined for the rest of the year.
